From the moment Patrick Mendes was introduced in 90 Day Fiance scenes, John McManus was in Patrick’s ear about how getting with Thais Ramone was a bad idea. As is usually the case, family members are against a lot of these relationships with foreigners, and Patrick called out Thais for being a scammer early.
By the time John McManus and Thais Ramone got in scenes together, that tension was palpable. So much so that you could cut it with a knife. While that makes for good 90 Day Fiance drama, that kind of tension can mess up the real-life family dynamic, especially if it goes unchecked for a long time.
John McManus Is A TLC Fan-Favorite
Since TLC first introduced John McManus as a side character in Patrick Mendes’s 90 Day Fiance storyline with Thais Ramone, fans have loved him for his off-the-cuff remarks and witty one-liners. It’s no surprise that TLC gave him his own storyline in The Single Life.
In those scenes, Patrick fell for a woman from Texas. She may not be from another country, but, the shoe was on the other foot. It was now Patrick’s turn to try and counsel John. He pointed out all the red flags for John the same way John did for him with Thais. Like the brothers that they are, they both didn’t listen to each other. They moved forward with their respective situations despite the other having reservations, which makes for good television.

90 Day Fiance Fans Slam Thais For Still Holding Grudge Against John
With Thais Ramone and Patrick Mendes staying together and building a happy family in America, you’d think that she and John McManus would have completely buried the hatchet by now. While these two are mostly civil in scenes, 90 Day Fiance fans recently slammed Thais for what they see as her still having it out for John.
In Happily Ever After Season 8 scenes, Thais and Patrick plan a trip back to Brazil for their daughter Aleesi’s birthday, and to also give Thais a chance to see her family. John throws around the idea of coming along, which rubs Thais the wrong way. Thais said in TLC scenes that she wanted it to be a “nice” trip, implying that it wouldn’t be with John around.

- 90 Day Fiance fans didn’t take kindly to the way Thais spoke of John, and many had plenty to say about it. One fan said: “stop getting in between family.”

Thais Ramone recently got her green card. She is going to be around in America for some time. For the sake of their family, 90 Day Fiance fans hope that she makes peace with John McManus moving forward.
